A joint Parish Meeting of East Lavington and Graffham for electors to give their views on whether or not the two parish councils should merge will be held on Tuesday 14 October, in the Empire Hall, starting at 7pm.
Graffham Parish Council has agreed to support in principle a formal application for planning permission by Lavington Stud and Estate for its “restoration and regeneration”. The application followed the community consultation carried out at the turn of the year.
Graffham Parish Council has agreed to look at providing allotments in the village.
Graffham Parish Council representatives met with the management of The Woodcote in August after complaints from residents over its fireworks display on 16 June. Herewith a joint statement issued after that meeting, reported back to the council's meeting on 3 September.
Graffham Parish Council is to make a cash donation from the Katherine Maud Guillod Fund to Petworth Foodbank, part of the Chichester Foodbank, after hearing that half a dozen local residents had need to draw on the charity’s services in the past year.
A date is awaited for the final bits of kit to be installed at Graffham’s Play Park after Chichester District Council made a grant of almost £16,000 to the scheme – taking its fund-raising to its target. The facility will be closed for around a week to enabe the work to be completed.
