Empire Hall
At the centre of village life since 1907, the ‘grand old lady of Graffham’ is today the venue for many community activities – a characterful, spacious and attractive building, sensitively renovated and regularly updated to suit a wide range of events.

The Empire Hall is the home for various village groups, including the Badminton, Lunch and Thursday Clubs and the Graffham Garden Group, and is used for most big village gatherings – Christmas and spring fairs, harvest lunch, Burns’ Night reeling and more. It houses osteopathy, physiotherapy and podiatrist clinics, along with weekly exercise, Pilates and yoga classes – and is where the Post Office visits every Tuesday morning.
It has a burgeoning reputation as an entertainment centre too, hosting concerts, movie nights (using its state-of-the-art audio visual system installed in 2023), plays, revues and quiz nights.
It is also where Graffham Parish Council meets and serves as the village’s Polling Station.
With a kitchen and bar, it is available for hire for private events, such as wedding receptions, wakes, business meetings and parties. See its website for details.
The hall is the responsibility of a committee of trustees, which includes a nominee from Graffham Parish Council.
