Graffham Health Support Association (GHSA) is a real friend in need when you need it most.  Among the key benefits it offers its members are:

  • Transport to any kind of medical appointment when you can’t drive there yourself for whatever reason.
  • Free collection of your prescriptions from Petworth surgery, which are then dropped off at Graffham Village Shop for you to pick up from there, saving you time, petrol money and exhaust fumes.
  • Loan of a wide-range of medical equipment – crutches, walking sticks, wheelchairs, walking frames, bathing aids and so on.
  • Subsidised foot health clinic and exercise classes at the Empire Hall.
  • Help, for those in need, with paying for spectacles or dental care.

All this for just a few pounds a year – and free to those under 21.

More than 200 residents are currently on GHSA’s books, around half the village’s adult population.

Many of them serve as volunteer drivers, more of whom are always welcome.

The GHSA was originally formed as the Graffham, Lavington, South Ambersham and Selham District Nursing Association, before 1921.  It adopted its present name in 2011.
