Recreation Ground and Pavilion

Stretching across almost seven acres, with magnificent views of the Downs, Graffham Recreation Ground is home to most of the village's sports club, hosts the summer fete and many other community gatherings.

The spacious sports ground where Graffham villagers and visitors play tennis, bowls and cricket, occasional games of soccer, stoolball and rounders and  the legendary egg tosses at Easter and in the summer.

The village’s Play Park, renovated in 2024, can be found there – and the ground hosts Graffham’s summer fête and other village gatherings.

Its Pavilion, complete with kitchen, bar, and wide-screen television, can be hired for private events.

The recreation ground is owned by Fields in Trust (formerly the National Playing Fields Association) as its custodial trustee, leased to Graffham Parish Council as it management trustee and managed by a committee appointed by the parish council from its own members, with the addition of not less than three other people who are nominated by the clubs which use the land for organised sport and who are not members of the council.

It is protected as a playing field in perpetuity.
